How to Install the 8ai Slackbot on Your Slack Account

Step 1: Access the Slack App Directory

Open your Slack workspace, Click on the "Apps" button in the sidebar. In the Apps section, click on "Browse App Directory" at the bottom and search for "8ai".

Click on the "Add to Slack" button.

You will be redirected to a permissions page. Review the permissions that the 8ai Slackbot requires.

Click on the "Allow" button to grant the necessary permissions and authorize the 8ai Slackbot for your workspace.

Step 2: Configure the 8ai Slackbot

After installation, you will be prompted to configure the 8ai Slackbot.

Select the channels or groups where you want the 8ai Slackbot to be active. You can invite the bot to multiple channels or groups as needed.

step 3: Invite the 8ai Slackbot to Channels

To invite the 8ai Slackbot to a specific channel, navigate to the channel in your Slack workspace. In the message input box, type /invite @8ai and press Enter.

Repeat this process for each channel or group you want the 8ai Slackbot to be active in.

Step 4: Verify the 8ai Slackbot is Active

Send a test query in the channels where the 8ai Slackbot has been invited. Verify that the bot responds correctly and in real time.
